Sherlyn Chopra copies Sunny Leone's nude pose

Sherlyn Chopra has become the first Indian to be on the cover of adult magazine Playboy. The girl is giving a serious competition to Poonam Pandey and Sunny Leone. While the Playboy issue featuring Sherlyn will be out in November, she is making all possible efforts to grab headlines back home.
It seems, making bold statements on social networking sites and baring all for photoshoots has become the latest shortcut to fame. Sherlyn lately posted her nude picture on Twitter. The picture looks highly inspired by the first poster of Sunny Leone starrer 'Jism 2'. Let's wait and watch what Poonam Pandey has to say about this. She is busy with the planning of her first Bollywood film these days.

Sherlyn is thrilled with the response she is getting for her bold step. She is proud to be the first Indian to pose for Playboy. She tweeted, “Thanks 2 all those who have applauded my choice 2 b free-spirited n 2 do with my life what I please 2 do. I'm answerable 2 no one but myself."

Too much sex can be a bad thing, says Sunny Leone

Seductively winking her eye next to the caption 'Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing. Sterilise Your Dogs and Cats', Indo-Canadian 'Jism 2'star Sunny Leone stars in a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.
Leone – who was named 2003 Penthouse Pet of the Year – wants her legions of adoring fans to know that the only way to fight the worldwide homeless-cat and -dog crisis is always to have companion animals sterilised. The stunning ad was shot by leading photographer Gaurav Sawn, and Leone's hair and make-up were done by Ayesha Wadiwala.
In an exclusive interview for PETA, Leone says, "I believe in not buying – and adopting. And it's because there's so many dogs out there that need a home, that were left on the streets. They just need that love, and if you can rescue an animal, then that's one of the greatest gifts you can give."
Too much sex can be a bad thing, says Sunny Leone
She further explains, "I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don’t want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not."
In India, tens of millions of homeless cats and dogs struggle to survive on the streets. Many of them go hungry, are injured or killed, are hit by vehicles or are abused by cruel people. Countless others are kept in animal shelters because there aren't enough good homes for them.
Every time a cat or a dog has a litter, it means fewer homes for the cats and dogs who are languishing in animal shelters or roaming the streets. The answer is simple: always have your cat or dog sterilised. PETA also encourages all prospective cat and dog guardians always to adopt from an animal shelter or take in a homeless animal from the streets and never to buy from a breeder or a pet shop – both of which only add to the problem.
Leone, who shares her home in Los Angeles with two rescued dogs, has also signed on to star in the sequel to the horror-thriller film 'Ragini MMS', one of the most-talked-about sleeper hits of 2011.

Aishwarya, Katrina ignore each other on Dhoom 3 sets

Actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif do not quite share the best of equations in Bollywood, probably because of their common ex-factor: Salman Khan.
Apparently that was the reason that temperature dropped a few degrees as the two uber hot beauties descended on the sets of Dhoom 3 in Chicago as the ladies shared cold vibes.
Aishwarya was in the US recently to take on her new role as the ambassador of UNAIDS, when she dropped in on the sets of Dhoom 3 to spend some quality time with hubby Abhishek Bachchan, who has been shooting for the film along with Aamir Khan and Katrina.
Her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan also accompanied Aishwarya to the sets of Dhoom 3. However, the first person she bumped into was Katrina. Sources said the two just exchanged a cursory polite smile and did not speak to each other at all.
Going back into the past, interactions between Katrina and Aishwarya have always been restricted. Even at public events or award functions none of them has ever taken the initiative to break the ice.
In fact, a couple of years ago, when Katrina was requested to wish Aishwarya on her birthday, the actor changed the topic and refused to give a statement.

Australian hottie Tabrett Bethell to spice up Dhoom 3

Tabrett Bethell, Australian actress and ex-cheerleader for National Rugby League (NRL), has been signed up by Yash Raj Films as the other heroine in the much-hyped Dhoom sequel that brings Katrina with Aamir Khan together on screen for the first time, and also features Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

Tabrett Bethell will make her debut in Yashraj's upcoming film Dhoom 3.

"Please welcome the lovely Tabrett Bethell who joining the cast of Dhoom 3 today (sic)," Uday tweeted recently to confirm Tabrett's inclusion in the cast.

The buzz is that Tabrett will be romancing Uday in the action thriller. She has already arrived in Chicago where the film's unit is currently shooting.

The buzz about Dhoom 3 having a foreign actress has been doing the rounds since before the film was officially announced. Names of Natalie Portman and Eva Longoria did the rounds but YRF never confirmed the news.

Tabrett was reportedly approached for the role at the beginning of the year but the final contract was only signed last month. She will play a blonde living in the US and sparks fly when she meets Uday's character, Ali.

"Her role will be somewhat similar to that of Bipasha Basu, who played the romantic interest of Uday in Dhoom 2," said a source in the film's unit.

Right now, Aamir, Abhishek, Uday and Katrina have been shooting at prominent locations in Chicago. The Dhoom films wholly bank on the villain and after John Abraham in Dhoom and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 , Aamir takes over as the central baddie, playing a super thief who is a skilled acrobat. Aamir has already shot for some daring stunt sequences in the famous Chinatown area of the city.

Tabrett will start the shoot in the coming week and already started preparations for her role. "She will be given a team who will help her with the dialogues and some Bollywood style dancing," a source said.

Tabrett rose to stardom with the TV series Legend Of The Seeker and then starred in the thriller, The Clinic.

'Aiyyaa' is riding on Rani's shoulder, says co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran

He is a superstar down South with 80 films to his credit. But actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is making his debut in Bollywood as the leading man in 'Aiyyaa',
has no qualms with the film being portrayed as his co-star Rani Mukherjee's project.
"Its a Bollywood film and I am a completely a new entity and I love that. The film is riding on Rani's shoulder I am happy with it. I love the fact that people will go and watch it as a Rani Mukherjee film and discover me. At the end of the day its a love story between two people and they are Rani and me," Prithviraj told PTI.
Produced by Anurag Kashyap 'Aiyyaa' stars Rani Mukherjee and Prithviraj in lead roles in the film. Rani plays the role of a Marathi girl who falls in love with a Malayalam boy, played by the South actor.
'Aiyyaa' is riding on Rani's shoulder, says co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran
Prithviraj has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films and his notable performances include 'Vaasthavam', 'Indian Rupee', 'Classmates', Mani Ratnam's Tamil version of 'Raavanan', 'Urumi' and others.
"I need to get real and I understand the fact that I am a beginner in Bollywood, the 80 films that I have done down South and who I am and what I have achieved there has nothing to do with what I am going to do in Bollywood," he said.
Rani has delivered several hit films like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' , 'Black' , 'Hum Tum' and 'Veer Zaara' among others. She was last seen in political crime thriller No one killed Jessica that released early last year and earned critical acclaim.
"Right now, the film will obviously be Rani's responsibility because the minute someone as big as her walked into the film it became a Rani Mukherjee project. I think it is a great to make a debut in a way.. its a vehicle in which you are travelling," he said.
"The fact that Rani said yes to the film meant that it (film) got bigger, the film got bigger canvas to portray. At the end of the day I need to realise that all the buzz that is happening around 'Aiyyaa' right now is because of the fact
that Rani is in it," he said.
Considering the fact that the only big name that 'Aiyyaa' boasts of is of Rani and its the actress who is seen on the forefront be it on posters or at events.
"When a big star like Rani Mukherjee is involved obviously the whole film at least in its marketing stage will piggy bag on her. Apart from Anurag Kashyap any big name that is associated with 'Aiyyaa' is not me or Sachin Kundlarkar or
anyone else it is Rani Mukherjee and if I was left with the marketing of the film, I would have still marketed it with Rani," he said.
Directed by debutant Sachin Kundalkar, 'Aiyyaa' is story about a woman who finds a man desirable because he smells good. "I said yes to the film after reading the entire script. And from the script to the print the film has grown up so much, the characters have grown up so much that I am more than happy," Prithviraj said.
Even before he started working on 'Aiyyaa', Prithviraj has been a huge fan of Rani. "I have seen almost her all films, I am a big fan of Rani and I always was. And I don't say that now because of 'Aiyyaa', even if you see my old interviews given to South Indian media you will see this statement. But now that I have done 'Aiyyaa', I am a bigger fan of Rani," he said.
Prithviraj can't stop heaping praises at his 'Aiyyaa' co-star Rani Mukherjee.
"She is fantastic. She is so inclusive as an actor, she used to go out of her way to make sure not just me but every actor on the sets is comfortable in their own space. She used to call the entire team to her house, discuss scenes and how
we will approach towards scenes," he said. "She used to say stay back on the sets even when she was not shooting, just to guide me. She was very involved and open to suggestions. She is great to work with," he added.

Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan in Siddharth Anand's next

Last week we reported that Hrithik Roshan had been signed on to play the lead in Siddharth Anand's next, which is said to be the remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Knight And Day. Now, the news is that Katrina Kaif has been roped in as the lead actress for the film.

Talking about the hot pair of Hrithik and Katrina in his film, Siddharth says, "Having Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif on board, the film is a treat not just for the audiences but also for me, as I will be directing them in the film."

Siddharth however clarifies that the film will not be an exact replica of the Hollywood blockbuster. Says Anand, "When we started the film it was supposed to be a remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz's film Knight And Day, but I wasn't too happy to do a remake of the film completely. The reason being that there were certain points that according to me didn't work, that was when I decided to plug in what I felt could be solutions to the issues. Besides this there is also the issue that, Knight And Day when it released became a very popular film, but when my film releases, I don't want the audiences to just watch a remake. I want them to see it in a different light as it will be different. The audiences have to get something new."

Anand also informs that he got Sujoy Ghosh onboard to rewrite the script. "When I decided to rework on the script, we got in Sujoy Ghosh and Suresh Nair to develop the script and story line which since then has changed totally. In fact I can say confidently that though the idea of the film is still Knight And Day the audience will be in for a treat as there will be new twists and a whole different story line."

Sly dig at PM in Chakravyuh cut by Censors

Trust Prakash Jha's cinema to constantly raise provocative political issues and instigate the censor board into ordering substantial cuts.

We've come to know from very reliable sources that Jha's Chakravyuh has been ordered six cuts, most of them verbal.

The film has been passed with a 'UA' certificate, which means underage viewers can watch the film accompanied by an adult.

Informs our source from the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC), "There were direct references to politicians, political scandals and a specially pointed reference to 'Sardari' (meaning leadership as well as a reference to the Sikh community whose individuals are known as Sardars) which we thought was a direct hit at the Prime Minister. Those had to go."

One sentence that has been removed from the film refers to the Mahatma.

Says our source, "A character says, 'Majboori ka naam Mahatma Gandhi'. Now this may be a commonly used phrase of despair in everyday life. But we can't have Mahatma Gandhi equated with majboori (helplessness) on a medium as powerful as cinema. So we asked the phrase to be removed."

Elsewhere a character is accused of getting his job through 'quota' (reservation) and hence inept at his work. That has been cut.

Also cut by the censors is a reference to the allegedly underhand activities of a fictional 'Mahanta' group of industries based in London.

Says our source at the CBFC, "From the pointers and references including the London location it was clear that the 'Mahanta' group referred to the Vedanta group of industries. We had to ask for that to be cut. That apart we asked a couple of abuses to be deleted. Then there was a scene of visual violence where a man's ear is chopped off and displayed on screen. We've asked the ear to be blurred on screen."

But it's the 'Mehngaai' song in Chakravyuh that has raised the censor board's hackle the most. While the disclaimer for the number has gotten it past the censor board, it was the deletion of one line making a barbed and unmistakable reference to a 'Sardar' that actually got the song past censors.

Says our censorial source, "The song sneered, 'Bahut dekhi teri sardari.' That, we felt was a direct hint at the Prime Minister. It had to go. Our guidelines clearly state dialogue or scene cannot cast aspersions on individuals, least of all the person holding the highest political post." Referring to Prakash Jha's defense about using the 'Tata, Birla' names as metaphors in the song the source from the CBFC says, "Metaphors are a wonderful tool for expression. But they can't be used on a public platform in a negative way. Years ago Manoj Kumar's Roti Kapada Aur Makaan had a beautiful 'Mehngaai' song. It didn't have to name any politician or cast aspersions on any individual to prove how inflation has hit the common man."

J.P. Singh the CBFC's Regional Officer Mumbai confirmed the above cuts.

OMG: Oh My God! movie review

OMG: Oh My God!

 Movie: OMG: Oh My God!
Cast: Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty
Direction: Umesh Shukla
Rating:
God as a Bollywood hero is obviously not much of a casting headache if Akshay Kumar is on board as actor-co producer in your film. The dapper star has the look, the grin, the screen presence and fan power. Put him on a superbike or give him a bansuri to play, Akshay is just the right fit as Krishna Vasudev Yadav from Mathura.

OMG: Oh My God! however sees the screen god make space for an actor who has basically made his mark over the decades playing out more mere mortal avatars. If Paresh Rawal's credibility as an actor has never been doubted, OMG - a film he incidentally co-produces with Akshay - sees him take centrestage as star of the show.

That bit is interesting. As a comedian, Paresh has often hijacked the limelight from bigger names in multistarrers. Yet, the only starring roles he has had till date have come in serious films - Sardar and Tamanna. OMG is special in that sense. This is his first lead role in a comedy setup.

The film casts Paresh as an atheist who looks at God as nothing but big business. He plays Kanji Bhai, seller of idols he picks wholesale from outside Mumbai and then sells it to blind believers as antiques in his shop.

Umesh Shukla, who earlier directed the 2009 dud Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge, scripts this film along with Bhavesh Mandalia, incidentally writer of the original Gujarati play on which the film is based.

Shukla and Mandalia twist the script early one. There is an earthquake in the city. Miraculously, while nothing or nobody is harmed, Kanji's shop is destroyed. The insurance company dismisses his claim saying it's an act of God. So, Kanji decides to sue God and the court accepts his case.

The film sets out to make a few caustic comments about reducing God into an industry through a set of fraud godmen who have to defend the almighty against Kanji in court. You spot glimpses of real life in the various holy personalities played out by Mithun Chakraborty, Govind Namdeo and Poonam Jhawar. These characters, though, could seem half-baked. Despite that flaw, the film still manages to regale because of two reasons.

First, OMG makes its point without fuss and without going over the top. Provoking as the subject is, the film was clearly not intentioned to insult faith. It is a script idea that could have easily gone wrong. Films adapted from plays often tend to get too melodramatic. OMG avoids that trap.

Secondly, the film works for its lead pair. Akshay and Paresh share crackling chemistry as God and the man who will finally learn to accept the concept of God as a positive presence in life. Together, the two actors lend the film its biggest USP.
