Aashiqui 2: Shraddha focuses on story, doesn't fret about scenes

Shraddha Kapoor gives importance to 'good story' and 'good role', and says that she treats lovemaking or bold scene like any other sequence.
Seen in 'Teen Patti' and 'Luv Ka The End', Shraddha's next is romantic musical 'Aashiqui 2', in which she will be seen romancing Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Talking about her preferences, she said: "It depends on the story. It has to excite me. I don't see a scene as an intimate scene. It's just that I want to be a part of a great story and do good roles."

While working on \'Aashiqui 2\', Shraddha admits sharing a great bond with Aditya on and off the screen.

"I don't see a scene as a lovemaking or a bold scene. There has to be something (in the story), which should attract me to a film. I treat all scenes like that," she said during a group interview.

Director Mohit Suri's 'Aashiqui 2' is her first romantic film. Also, the fact that it is a sequel to 1990 romantic blockbuster 'Aashiqui' made it challenging for Shraddha.
"Mohit is emotionally connected to the film. For us, to understand the depth of the film took a little bit of time and it was a challenge. But Mohit took us down to the level where he was, so we could understand what we were getting into," she said.
The actress also said the director ensured they don't feel the pressure of 'Aashiqui' success.
"The first 'Aashiqui' was a blockbuster, so there's pressure. But Mohit made sure we didn't face any pressure. He completely got us involved in the film, so that we don't think about anything else," she said.
Shraddha was barely one-year-old when Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal starrer had come out. When she saw the film, she was 'very small'. "I remember listening to the songs while growing up. 'Sanson ki zaroorat' was my favourite," she said.

Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone says she wants to romance Bollywood biggies Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor on-screen and also try her hands at comedy.
Sunny first made her appearance in TV reality show 'Bigg Boss 5' in 2011 and this led to her entry in Bollywood.

"I never thought I will be able to do this song. I was nervous, scared on the first day of shoot, but John (Abraham), Tusshar (Kapoor) and others were nice to me and it turned out to be the best experience I have had here till now," she said.
John, Tusshar, Kangna Ranaut, Anil Kapoor and Sonu Sood are playing lead roles in the film.
Tusshar, who was also present at the event, was full of praise for Sunny. "She has clarity of mind and thought. She had no tantrums. She is a combination of beauty and brains and is also a nice human being," he said.

Sunny Leone calls Kamaal R Khan a liar over 'rape is surprise sex' tweet

It was all out war on Twitter between adult entertainment actress Sunny Leone and actor-director Kamaal R Khan purportedly over a controversial tweet over rape. According to media reports, Leone is said to have tweeted that rape is in fact surprise sex, a comment that was re-tweeted several times. But Leone strongly denied tweeting this and said all those re-tweeting it will be blocked.
On Monday she called Khan, popularly called KRK by his followers on Twitter, a liar and said the tweet was in fact attributed to her by Khan. Khan promptly hit out at the actor with a series of his own tweets, albeit unrelated to Sunday's controversy.

"Sad when you wake up in the morning and reporters are writing about a lie that was said on my behalf by a well known liar KRK," tweeted Leone with the hash tag #shameonyou.
"Dear @sunnyleone first you unblock me n then tell me what m I lying? I have read your statement in a news paper I said that on twitter. I offered you my film #Deshdrohi n you said that u don't have dates till 2014. I have your mails so how I m lying madam @sunnyleone ji?" tweeted Khan.
The "rape is not a crime, it is surprise sex" comment may or may not have been tweeted by Leone, but the tweet could not be found on either KRK or Leone's Twitter timeline. "Who ever has said this rape comment is an idiot. I never said this. Grow up!," Leone said on Sunday.
"Well everyone on my page that thinks that's a joke they are getting blocked!" Leone said.

Kareena Kapoor canned an item number for 'Dabangg 2' and says it was great fun shooting for the song as she tried something new for it. "It was great fun. I loved the song... for the first time I have done a pelvic thrust. I have never done that before and Farah Khan has shot it amazingly. I am looking forward to it because it's a fun song. After matching tough dance steps with ace choreographer Prabhudheva in 'Oh My God!', actress Sonakshi Sinha recently challenged herself with some Kathakali steps on the set of 'Dabangg 2'.
The 25-year-old tried some steps of the classical dance form while shooting for the song 'Dagabaaz re' from the movie.
"There is a sequence in the song where there are Kathakali dancers and when Sonakshi came to know about this, she got really excited! She is an actor who loves learning new things and, in fact, has even learnt some Kathakali and requested the dancers to teach her a few more steps," said a source.

Sonakshi tried some steps of the classical dance form while shooting for the song 'Dagabaaz re' from the movie.

Sudhir Mishra wonders why love scenes are unsafe for kids

For kids "violence is okay, but love is not" is a condescending double standard that plagues most Indian censors, says director Sudhir Mishra. Speaking during an interactive session at the ongoing 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Mishra said the outlook of Indian censors needed to be re-looked at, especially when it comes to issuing censor certificates.
"Kids are allowed to watch violence but not intimate scenes because such scenes are 'adult' in nature. How does any of this make sense," Mishra asked.
The director, who has crafted several critically acclaimed films like 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', 'Dharavi', 'Chameli', etc., also said that several of his films had intimate scenes over which he had to wrangle with the censor board for clearance.

Sunny Leone to do an item song in 'Singh Sahib'

Contrary to reports that Sunny Leone may not do an item number in 'Singh Sahib The Great', filmmaker Anil Sharma says he is keen to shoot the song with her and that they are working on her dates.

"Sunny Leone is a wonderful human being. She is a very good friend. We are trying to work on her dates. She is busy with her other projects. There are some date issues and nothing more than that. I want to work with her and we are trying to incorporate an item number with her," Anil Sharma told IANS.

There were rumours that the film's main lead Sunny Deol has refused to work with the Indo-Canadian porn star as he wasn't too pleased when the jokes about him and the actress started doing the rounds.

Sharma clarified it saying: "All these are just rumours. Sunny Deol is one actor in Bollywood who is least interested in getting into controversies. He only wants each and every actor to grow. He was very upset after he got to know about the rumours."

Shooting for 'Singh Sahib The Great' will start Dec 10 and Sharma said that it would be a 50 days schedule till January-end.

Sunny Leone in a workshop for Ragini MMS 2

Ragini MMS may have been one of those small unassuming ventures by Ekta Kapoor when she released it last year. However the surprise success of the film has made her all the more ambitious about nurturing it further as a franchise. Though roping in of Sunny Leone has already made the film big enough on paper, now she also wants the adult star's 'performance' to do the talking.

"Ragini MMS as a brand has two core constituents for it - sex and horror. For the former, there is Sunny on board and for the latter there is Bhushan Patel as a director who recently made a successful debut with 1920 - Evil Returns which is a hit. While this combination coupled with Ekta's marketing prowess would have been good enough to make the film hot much before its release, she wants more. She has allocated good budget for the pre-production as well", says a source connected to the film.

As of now as a bare minimum there is a 15 day workshop being planned with Sunny. Also, indications are that there would be some pre-release publicity created around the film's launch as well.

"Though no one can challenge Sunny's sex appeal, from the performance perspective too she had managed to hit decent notes with Jism 2. That was a pleasant surprise in itself. However Ekta as well as Bhushan feel that Ragini MMS 2 would require Sunny to go many notches here. They want the film to be more than just a sex driven affair", the source continues.

Thankfully for the makers, Sunny has agreed to an early visit as well. While the film's shooting would begin in Mumbai around January 15 next year, Sunny would be in town at least 10 days in advance for the workshop. That would involve participation from Sunny as well as her co-actor, the auditions for whom are currently on.

When contacted, Bhushan confirmed the details.

However given the core genre of the film, one wonders whether Sunny would indeed need a 'workshop' to get her on-camera 'act' right!

Talaash gets U/A certified, run time 2.14 hours

Aamir Khan's fans can rejoice. They can watch the actor's latest film Talaash with their families in theatres, now that it has been cleared by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate.

"Since it is a suspense drama with serial killings at the core of it, some feared that Talaash may be deemed unfit for kids and teenagers and hence would be given an 'A' certificate. However, Censor Board feels that there isn't anything overtly violent or disturbing about the film and hence have given it a U/A", a source informs.

This has been heartening for the film's producers Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan and Ritesh Sidhwani who wouldn't have to worry about curtailed footfalls for the film. Moreover, director Reema Kagti too is happy with the liberal stance that Censors have taken.

"The film had also been passed without any cuts. That's a good win too", the source adds.

The film's running length is 2 hours 14 minutes.

Salman-Arbaaz don't endorse adult content for Dabangg 2

He has been delivering a series of blockbusters, especially in last couple of years, and one thing that Salman Khan is being conscious about is ensuring that each of his films caters to family audience. Though Dabangg did have a hint of some tongue in cheek humour (remember 'Hum Tum Mein Itne Chhed Karenge.....'?), by and large he has stayed away bringing anything in his films that reeks of adult content.

"Same is the case in Dabangg 2 as well", says a prominent crew member, "Yes, there is some naughty humour that goes with Chulbul Pandey. However even that would be subtle and there won't be anything vulgar about it. Thodi masti rahegi, thoda funny rahega but there won't be any place for toilet humour."

In fact Salman as well as Arbaaz Khan was conscious about this fact due to which there was a slight alteration done in the theatrical promo compared to the one (with Salman getting into his naughty self) which went online.

"As a character Chulbul Pandey is intrinsically naughty and since the film is set in the UP-Bihar belt again, the core of the stage and setting has to remain intact. However that doesn't mean that the Khan brothers are compromising on the 'clean' tag with which they wish to release Dabangg", the crew member continues, "Neither is there any bad language nor any hint of skin show. Even the item song 'Fevicol' doesn't have any vulgarity to it. You can't expect that either with Kareena Kapoor in there."

With the most intimate moment between Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha also being restricted to a mere peck on the cheek, and that too rather symbolically, guess Dabangg 2 could well end 2012 on a 'clean' note.

Sunny Leone signs three-film deal with Alumbra Entertainmen

 


Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone, who sizzled in her Bollywood debut 'Jism 2', has reportedly signed a three-film deal with Alumbra Entertainment.
Sunny will shoot the first film in the second quarter of 2013 and the remaining will be shot later. As of now, the subjects of the movies are being finalised between Alumbra Entertainment and the actress.
"Sunny will do her third, fourth and fifth film after 'Jism 2' and 'Ragini MMS 2' with us. We will share details at the opportune moment," said a spokesperson for Alumbra Entertainment, associated with the recent release 'Bhoot Returns'.

"'Jism 3' is still being discussed. Nothing has been finalised yet. There is no idea yet. We are still in search of a good script," the 36-year-old said here Monday at Italia Gala Dinner.

Directed by Pooja Bhatt, 'Jism 2' featured Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone, Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Dino says he is just reading scripts. "As soon as I will get hold of a good script, I will produce and act in it," he said.

Seductively winking her eye next to the caption 'Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing. Sterilise Your Dogs and Cats', Indo-Canadian 'Jism 2'star Sunny Leone stars in a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.
Leone – who was named 2003 Penthouse Pet of the Year – wants her legions of adoring fans to know that the only way to fight the worldwide homeless-cat and -dog crisis is always to have companion animals sterilised. The stunning ad was shot by leading photographer Gaurav Sawn, and Leone's hair and make-up were done by Ayesha Wadiwala.
In an exclusive interview for PETA, Leone says, "I believe in not buying – and adopting. And it's because there's so many dogs out there that need a home, that were left on the streets. They just need that love, and if you can rescue an animal, then that's one of the greatest gifts you can give."

She further explains, "I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don’t want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not."
In India, tens of millions of homeless cats and dogs struggle to survive on the streets. Many of them go hungry, are injured or killed, are hit by vehicles or are abused by cruel people. Countless others are kept in animal shelters because there aren't enough good homes for them.
Every time a cat or a dog has a litter, it means fewer homes for the cats and dogs who are languishing in animal shelters or roaming the streets. The answer is simple: always have your cat or dog sterilised. PETA also encourages all prospective cat and dog guardians always to adopt from an animal shelter or take in a homeless animal from the streets and never to buy from a breeder or a pet shop – both of which only add to the problem.
Leone, who shares her home in Los Angeles with two rescued dogs, has also signed on to star in the sequel to the horror-thriller film 'Ragini MMS', one of the most-talked-about sleeper hits of 2011.

Neil and Richa in romantic comedy

Post the success of Gangs Of Wasseypur, Richa Chhada is one girl who is going places and how! The latest film that's on her itinerary happens to be an untitled romantic comedy that's being directed by the debutante Prerna Wadhawan. This film will see Richa Chadda paired opposite Neil Ntin Mukesh. The film will also star VJ Bani and Manish Anand in pivotal roles.

This film will be both Neil Nitin Mukesh and Richa Chadda's first romantic film. Talking about the film, Prerna said, "It's a light hearted but very romantic film and I am happy that both Richa and Neil came together for the film. This fresh pair would be one of the USPs of the film. The whole team is very young and we are all excited about starting the project soon."

The film is slated to go on floor this month and will release next year.

Aishwarya, Katrina ignore each other on Dhoom 3 sets

Actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif do not quite share the best of equations in Bollywood, probably because of their common ex-factor: Salman Khan.
Apparently that was the reason that temperature dropped a few degrees as the two uber hot beauties descended on the sets of Dhoom 3 in Chicago as the ladies shared cold vibes.
Aishwarya was in the US recently to take on her new role as the ambassador of UNAIDS, when she dropped in on the sets of Dhoom 3 to spend some quality time with hubby Abhishek Bachchan, who has been shooting for the film along with Aamir Khan and Katrina.
Her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan also accompanied Aishwarya to the sets of Dhoom 3. However, the first person she bumped into was Katrina. Sources said the two just exchanged a cursory polite smile and did not speak to each other at all.
Going back into the past, interactions between Katrina and Aishwarya have always been restricted. Even at public events or award functions none of them has ever taken the initiative to break the ice.
In fact, a couple of years ago, when Katrina was requested to wish Aishwarya on her birthday, the actor changed the topic and refused to give a statement.
